Introduction
The economic authorities believe that a policy of lowering interest rates in accordance with the law to reduce the cost of credit will be the best option to promote investment and improve the country's economy. The severe impact of the "El Niño" phenomenon between 1997 and 1998, the fall in the price of a barrel of oil and the increase in national risks made it difficult to obtain external financing for the country.
Hidroelectric Plants in Ecuador
The main hydroelectric plant in the country is Coca Codo Sinclair, which contributed a net energy of 6.2425, 02 GWh between April 2016 and July 2017. Inaugurated on November 18, 2016, it is located in the provinces of Napo and Sucumbíos and is powered by the Quijos and Salado rivers.
Only three operations, although the largest, Coca Codo Sinclair, has cracks. Another five have delays and some structural problems. Added to all this are the minister's doubts about whether surcharges may have been incurred in the works.
Hydroelectric or hydraulic energy is of high importance for the development of a country not only in economic growth but also for the improvement of the electricity deficit that is found. In Ecuador since 1992 there have been a series of cyclical electricity crises.
